“ Antico is one of the best Atlanta spots for pizza. The margarita pizza is a classic Italian favorite and you cannot go wrong. The crispy pizza crust is made in house and the smoky flavor enhances each bite. The ratio of sauce and cheese is also well balanced, delivering a perfect bite each time. The restaurant is an order and sit down style. There are plenty of booths available but you might have to end up sharing if you visit during lunch rush. I found the toppings bar to be a great addition and now need it at all pizza places! There was garlic, spices and chili oil available to customize the flavor levels of your slice. Parking is located in the back of the restaurant and a quick walk to the front door. ”
“ Great pizza. Probably our favorite since moving to Atlanta. The dining room looks into the kitchen and you are able to see the ovens and pizza chefs at work. Restaurant was very clean ”
“ Came in for pizza given my friend recommended this place. You walk in and order, pay. They make your pizza and deliver to ur table. Tables located in the back which overlooks the kitchen. So cool. They have a self serve area for toppings also. The pizza is so freaking good. Thin crust and the flavor just wow! We did encounter an issue while paying which is why I dropped 1 star. My friend paid for our pizza and noticed a higher price on the receipt than what she was told verbally. The higher price was due to the staff member adding in a This was brought up to the Staff member who didn't say anything but "oh" and did a refund. Be sure to check ur receipt so that you don't have added charges. ”
“ It had been many years since I'd last gone to Antico. A few days ago, my boyfriend said he was craving pizza, and the memories of this place filled my head. Since he and his mother had never been, I decided we should go! Saturday rolled around and we stopped in a little before 6pm. On the drive there, I realized that we forgot the bottle of wine that we had planned to bring... ugh! Next time! They sell it too but the fact that they allow you to bring your own alcohol is really nice. It took us a while to find parking because the lot was filled. We ended up doing street parking right off the main road in front of Gio's. We entered and ordered at the counter just as it has always been, and walked to the back to find seating. The ambiance feels very hole in the wall Italian. It's casual and no frills, where you can see the chefs making your pizza. There's also a topping bar with various things you can grab including fresh minced garlic, hot peppers, extra virgin olive oil, crushed red pepper, chili paste, grated Parmesan, etc. They were already pretty busy and packed up a lot of to go orders, so it felt like it took a while but the wait wasn't too bad. At last, our pizzas arrived on a big metal pan. We got a classic Margherita Pizza and one of my old favorites: the Sophia Pizza. I always like getting one red and one white pizza for variety. We all loved everything. The ingredients are fresh. The flavors are popping. The textures and temperature are perfect. My boyfriend and his mother agreed that this is their new favorite pizza place in town! Our only request is that they should offer bread (if not complimentary, for purchase). We would've loved to have dipped some in the oil and toppings as we waited for our pizzas to arrive. Either way, we will be back sooner rather than later! The gelato and espresso place isn't located where it used to be, but I knew that already. Instead, it's around back of Gio's (affiliated with Antico) next door, where you enter from that little parking lot. It's super cute with a European feel. After dinner, I got myself an affogato with tiramisu gelato, my boyfriend got a cookies n cream gelato, and my boyfriend's mother got a mango gelato. It was a practically perfect evening! ”
“ great spot in north west ATL, really enjoyed the pizza and salad! We got the Diavola which was so tasty!! Parking wasn't bad, inside there is a small area when you walk in with some hightop tables but once you walk through that area there's a back room with more seating and a toppings bar with some herbs, oils, garlic, etc. We got togo but still enjoyed grabbing some toppings to take with us. Definitely recommend them! ”
“ First off, I gotta say the pizza was amazing! We got the classic Margherita. The crust was so nice and freshly baked! The atmosphere was nice, when you first walk in there a few benches, but walk beyond that and there's a whole area to sit down at. You can see all the brick ovens being used to make the pizzas. There's even an area to get extra toppings at like oils, spices, and other veggies! Def recommended to any traveling to Atlanta. Go to Little Italy! ”
“ It has been 10 years since I updated my last review (12/05/2014) and I stopped here today with my children for a NYE dinner. I ordered two of their Margherita D.O.P. Pie's which are made of Bufala Mozzarella, Basil, Garlic and are drizzled with Olive Oil. I must say damn... it was so delicious and usually my youngest will not eat the crust. After 10 years, I must say this is the absolute best Napoletana pizza I have tried in Atlanta. If you are a fan of Authentic Neapolitan pizza, which is very think crust, you will probably love it here. Just be aware with tax, you will pay around $25 per pizza and it is only large enough for two people. One adult and two children can easily eat two Margherita pizzas. [Review #725] (23rd Review of 2024) ”
“ We ordered: Capricciosa white pizza - prosciutto cotto, mushroom, artichoke, bufala, garlic Crust was solid - a good balance of floppy and crispy. Not as floppy as most Neapolitan pizza I've had. Nice chewiness. Toppings were tasty but distribution of toppings was uneven. I like that they have a toppings bar of garlic, Parmesan, etc. Dough could use more salt. No issues with service. Decent amount of communal seating inside. ”
“ My girlfriend visiting from Miami was excited for pizza, so after our visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Antico just made perfect sense. As someone who's not a huge pizza fan, it's been a while since I've been to Antico, but I remember it's been an enjoyable experience every time. I've only ever visited the Midtown location but am glad you can get your own piece of Antico at multiple locations throughout the metro Atlanta area now. Although parking at this busy location in the heart of Midtown can be challenging, we lucked out at 8pm on a Thursday evening and were able to park pretty easily. Once you enter this location, expect a short line where you'll order at the register. After ordering, walk to the huge dining area in the back of the restaurant where you can watch experts making your pizza, wash your hands in an industrial sink, grab pizza toppings, and choose a shared seating bench area. My girlfriend and I decided to order two pizzas as we anticipated leftovers. We picked my two favorites: - San Gennaro: Italian sausage, Sweet Red Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic, Cipollini Onions - Diavola: Spicy Salami, Calabrian Peppers, Bufala Mozzarella, Garlic Both pizzas were incredibly delicious! They came out hot and fresh - even if you get these to go, you've got to eat a slice or two there. The toppings are fresh and delicious and oh wow, the cheese! Pro tip: the best topping is the fresh garlic! Overall, I'm glad I got a refresher on how delicious Antico pizza is and will try not to wait so long before returning again! ”
“ Parking is in the back. The place looks like it is designed for carry out but there is some seating on the inside. This block is called Little Italy because there are like 4 restaurants that share parking. I think all 4 venues serve Italian food. Authentic venue with everything made from scratch in the back. Pizza was delicious. I ordered the Lasagna Pizza with a cannoli on the side. The pizza is thin crust with lite sauce. The ingredients mix really well together. Taste is off the charts but the pie is not that filling. Cannoli is pretty tasty. Condiment bar in the back has different seasonings and toppings to put on your pie. ”
